Going on 25 years at BHS, bookkeeper Stacy McDaniels has impacted BHS in numerous ways. McDaniels graduated from BHS in1988 and came back to work as the bookkeeper.
“I am going on my 25th year working at BHS,” McDaniels said. “My favorite part by far is getting to know all the kids.”
Her office is a popular place for students to go to buy candy.
“My favorite candy from Stacy’s office is Twix,” freshman Cami Collum said.
McDaniels is appreciated by many people, especially the people that work in the office.
“The things I appreciate about Stacy is her genuine compassion for everyone on campus,” secretary Melissa Alford said. “She is always willing to help and has an open door policy.”
McDaniels started working at BHS in 2000.
“My kids were young when I first started,” McDaniels said. “I wanted to have a job that I could be with them and watch their events and activities and be off when they were off so it was a good fit.”
Though she only works in the office, McDaniels has positively impacted anyone she meets.
“Stacy has been a highlight in our building for a long time. She does it all,” teacher Kit Harris said. “She helps keeps records straight for all of our programs and purchases. She plays a very important role in our school. And most importantly, she is always a happy, smiling face.”
Senior Drew Flick’s favorite candy from Mcdaniels is airhead extremes.
“I go to Stacy’s office about every other day,” Flick said. “If I could add any candy to her collection I would add high chews.”
