Freshman Wrigley Hamrick plays flag football for the KC Shockers. He plays slot receiver on offense and safety on defense. He has been to at least 25 flag football tournaments and has won over 15 of them.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about flag football?

“My favorite thing about flag football is going to different places to compete in tournaments and hanging out with my team.”

Q: What do you not like about flag football?

“Sometimes in flag football I don’t like the reds and the calls they make because if they don’t know the rules it can hold our team back.”

Q: What other sports do you play?

“Other sports I play are tackle football, basketball, and track. I play these because they last most of the year and they keep me conditioned.”

Q: What has been a great experience you’ve had in flag football?

“A great experience I’ve had playing flag football was getting 2nd place at nationals because it is the closest I have ever been to being a national champ.”

Q: When you’re on the field what motivates you?

“When I am on the field my team motivates me because if we are all playing good I try to match that and do my best.”

Q: What other place have you been for flag football?

“Other places I have been is Chicago, Las Vegas twice, Orlando, D.C, Missouri, and Green Bay.”

Q: How many flag football tournaments have you won?

“I have played over 25 tournaments with a lot of different teams and have won over 15 of them.”
