The student council of BHS has been a big help to the entire community this year.
Maleka Flory was asked if she enjoyed being a part of the student council and taking part in helping our student body.
“I was the President of the student council for the Junior High school last year which is what influenced me to run for student council this year as a freshman.”
Flory went on to explain how the experience has helped her grow as a leader and work collaboratively with others.
“I love being able to make a positive impact and represent my peers,” stated Flory. “It’s been rewarding to see the changes we’ve implemented, and I hope to continue serving throughout my high school years.”
Flory also shared how the student council has allowed her to improve her skills, such as public speaking and problem-solving.
Looking ahead, the student council plans to introduce more initiatives focused on student well-being and inclusion, aiming to ensure that every student feels heard and supported.
