“I turned 18 this February and I am from Sweden. I have been in Baldwin for 9 months now and my favorite part of being an exchange student is meeting new people and trying new things. Trying different sorts of food and see how people from across the world live their lives. I think my favorite part about Baldwin is that most people know each other and it is such a small cute community. The same people I might see at church are the same as when I go to the grocery store or El Patron or other places in town. I am in choir all year and in the fall I did Tennis and a little of cross country, in the winter I played Basketball and now in the spring I’m doing Track and Field which I have never done before and absolutely love. I decided to be an exchange student because I wanted to see more of the world and experience new things, I hate staying in one place when everything is the same all the time so I wanted to see how other people lived and see what more is in the world except my own country. I like almost everything with being an exchange student, the only thing is that I can’t drive, so I must depend on other people. I don’t like having to ask others for help that might be inconvenient for them.”
