Survey shows a large percentage of people planning on going to college
In a survey for Baldwin High School, 50 students were surveyed as to what their opinion of going to college after they leave school. 41 people out of 50 stated that they were planning on going to college after they graduate. That is a stunning 81%. Most students stated that they were going because they believed that going would help them financially in the future.
However when asked about if they knew what they were going to study in college most answered that they were still thinking of what they wanted to do. In fact 75% percent of students that answered they wanted to attend college said they did not know what they were wanting to go for they just knew it would help them gain more financially. The students that said they wish not to attend college stated that they did not wish to because they didn’t believe that it would help them.
“I don’t really know what I want to do there but what I do know is that I want to go”, a student said.
“I wish to go to because in this economy people need to go to college to be able to have a much more successful life”, said another student.
