Team managers are on every high school sports team for good reason. They help give players water and get equipment, among many other things.
The coaches are busy coaching the players, and the players are busy with drills and playing, so there is almost no other way for a team to have practice efficient without managers. d
They are very important and can really help the practice run smoothly and get more done. Team managers build relationships with the players and the coaches help build team spirit and can help with team morale. Team managers do not have to help and are not in the spotlight as much as the players so it is very selfless to manage. Managers sacrifice their time for the school to succeed and we need more of them.
There are lots of students that when they get injured and can’t play they decide to manage. It will really help the students still be part of the team and really help out and still feel needed. It can help lighten the blow of feeling like the season is over because you can still make an impact on the team.
“I hurt my knee and still wanted to make an impact on the team,” basketball manager Logan Kesinger said.
Coaches also really appreciate managers who take time out of their life to help out the school and the team. Without the managers coaches would have to get more of the items needed for practice and players would have to get more water and all of that takes time and makes practice less efficient.
“Practice goes smoother and more efficient with managers and they are very significant to the team and they really help getting stats,” head baseball coach Grant Bachera said.
It is very important for students sign up to be team managers because it significantly helps your school and the sports get better with practice going better and helping at games with many tasks.
