The returning cross country boys state champions and girls runners-up are working hard to have another great and competitive season.

Head coach for, Mike Spielman is looking forward to another great season.

“I’m looking forward to a good year,” he said. “I hope that everyone improves every day.”

Returning state placer Joe Pierce is looking forward to a year full of fast and fun races.

“This season, I’m looking forward to all the fun that we will have this year and running fast,” he said.

Returning girls team member Hollie Hutton believes the team needs to work together.

“We need to work together as a team this year,” she said. “We need to focus on staying together.”

Spielman concluded by explaining what he was looking forward to seeing this year from his team of devoted runners.

“I’m looking forward to see how well we can do and to seeing what potential our team has,” he said.

Both teams placed first at the opening meet at Anderson County on Thursday, September 4. There next meet is Saturday, September 13.
