Day One: Kansas City Christian Panthers
It did not take long for the Bulldogs to get comfortable in the first rounds of the Wellsville Top Gun Tournament. The Bulldogs outscored Kansas City Christian 18-7 in the first quarter to separate themselves from the Panthers on route to a 52-22 victory to extend the Bulldogs winning streak to six.
“I thought we played well,” head coach Martin said. “We advanced and that was a big thing.”

“Everyone got to contribute,” Martin said. “We got everyone in the game and gave everyone some minutes. It was a very good team effort.”
Junior Hailey Cope thought her team played well and took care of business against the Panthers.
I thought it went really well and we worked well as a team,” Cope said.
Day Two: St. Mary’s Bears
On Day Two the Bulldogs defeated the St. Mary’s Bears 44-40 in the second round of the Top Gun Tournament. The Bulldogs sealed the victory with a eight of ten free throws. Senior Kailyn Smith lead the Bulldogs with 11 points. Junior Katie Jones was assigned to Bears star Clare Thomas who ‘was the best girl in the tournament’ according to Martin and held her to only 13 points. Thomas averages 21.5 points per game.
Day Three: Bonner Springs Braves
The Bulldogs fell in the championship of the Top Gun Tournament 41-40. The Bulldogs dropped an eight point lead going into the fourth quarter. Unlike on Day Two, the Bulldogs inability to convert free throws lead to their demise.
