The BHS soccer team is looking to build off the success of last year starting with a scrimmage tonight at 7 p.m.
“I’m feeling really good about our team,” junior Duncan Murray said, “the freshman have a lot of skill.”
The Bulldogs have many new faces that should contribute valuable minutes for the team this season. This includes freshman Brendan Owings and Logan Phillips, sophomores Noah Pippert and Kriley Fisk and juniors Ben Growcock and Eusebio Jimenez. Senior Mason Bandré state the goal of tonights Purple and White scrimmage.
“Seeing how well we start as a team,” Bandre said, “and hopefully expanding on that throughout the season.”
The Bulldogs also return many other key starters such as sophomores Joel Dixon, juniors Russell Cloon and Nick Joslyn, and seniors Alec Petry and Austin Kraus. The Bulldogs have been excited for this scrimmage since the beginning of practices.
“I’m looking forward to a lot of goals, and goal celebrations.”
The Bulldogs kick-off the season at home against Tonganoxie at 4 p.m.
