Issues with parking and driving at high schools are recurring and dangerous. Many careless young drivers get into accidents that happen because they aren’t paying attention and don’t care.

If drivers were more in the moment and paying attention, while not being careless, fewer issues and accidents would occur. Most of the time, it is the lower classmen who are reckless with driving, because they have less experience. However there are many upperclassmen who are poor drivers, and end up in accidents.

Every student who drives and parks in the high school parking lot deserves a safe place to park, instead of worrying about others who could potentially crash into their car and drive away without caring about the consequences.

High school drivers need to be more careful and know what is going on around them. Be a defensive driver, instead of the one who is an offensive driver who hits other cars, is reckless, and drives away. Own up to your mistakes and move on.
