At Baldwin High School, passing period is 4 minutes long. It gives students time to get to class and use the restroom if they need to. But some students would argue that it should be made longer or shorter, and some think it is just fine as it is.

63% of high school students think that passing period is not currently a good length. 67% think that a good length would be 5 minutes, giving them an extra minute to get to where they need to be. Only 9% of students think that passing period is too long right now, saying it should be changed to 3 minutes. 83% of students say their teachers are somewhat strict on tardies, with 16% saying the teachers are not strict and 11% saying their teachers are very strict on tardies

86% of students would not be willing to have school extended to get longer passing periods, with a lot of them saying that time should be taken out of seminar. Only 18% of students at BHS would be willing to sacrifice extra time out of the day to have a longer passing period.
