Senior Lily Breedlove is a BHS Yearbook Chief and Editor and she is also the 24-25 Drum Major. She has been involved in many things these past four years and takes on a role of leadership in everything she does.
Q: What is the footprint you want to leave on the BHS Yearbook and band?
“For yearbook I want the entire book to come out as people expect it to be, I want it to cover everything that needs to be covered, we have a really cool layout this year, so it should be good. For band I just want more people to be encouraged to join it next year, I think I’m going to talk to junior high students so we can get more freshman and it can be bigger and better always.”
Q: What advice do you have for underclassmen?
“Definitely try new things, don’t hold back if you want to do something go and do it and don’t think twice. Get as involved as you can and talk to as many people as you can, these are the best memories you’ll ever make.”
Q: Do you have a certain goal to accomplish as drum major by the end of the year?
“We accomplish most of our goal at the beginning of the year by getting two one pluses at the State Fair, that was the biggest thing for us. We have a KSHAA that we host in the PAC we are also hoping for a one there. I can contribute as much as I can but it is not up to me, it is up to the whole band.”
Q: What was the hardest thing to overcome in your past school years that made you the person you are today?
“My parents really affected the way I think, I always strive to be better than them and work harder.”
Q: What will you miss the most about the BHS community after you graduate?
“I will probably miss how small we are and how much of a family I have created and I’m friends with so many underclassman which is going to be really hard to let go.”
Q: What made you want to be the drum major?
“I’m going to major in elementary education and special education so I wanted to be a leader I thought drum major was the best way I could prove to people that I am a leader and that I love teaching kids and I love being around people.”
