Humans of BHS: Caleb Carr

“I started running my freshman year but I have been doing distance stuff since middle school. Like one mile and the two mile. Coach Spielmen is just a legend here so to run for him is an awesome opportunity and a lot of the guys on the team I have played soccer with so I just wanted to do both like them. My biggest mentor for cross country, I’d probably say Hudson Allen because he has been to state with me my first two years and we had a really good bond over stuff like that. Running at state was a good experience with him. My freshman year I was going through the book that Spielmen gives out and you can see everyone’s time and I’ve known Mr. Toot from middle school, he was one of my teachers, so my goal was to be under 17:10, which I think was his time. This year I really didn’t think I’d get down there but I was happy I did.”
