“I started showing cattle when I was six years old. From the time I was old enough to walk I always enjoyed going down to the barn and doing chores with my dad and brothers. Showing cattle is a lot of work, from training them to stop a certain way when walking them, to washing them two or three times a day in the summer and trying to get them to keep their hair. During the summer my brother and I spend basically ever day at the barn preparing the cattle for the county fair. I have shown all over the United States and I travel all over the United States each year looking for my calf for the show season. My brother and I have also started our own cattle business, selling cattle to other people who show at the Douglas County Fair.”
