Humans of BHS: Addy Trendel

I started dancing when I was two years old. My mom saw how much I loved it and decided to put me in a class. I have been dancing since and I love it. Dance has become my hobby and my escape. It is my passion and I hope to keep doing it for as long as I can. My mentor that made me love dance even more and has taught me almost everything I know, left the studio I was at. With her being my mentor, I followed her. She will now be teaching me solos to take with hopes to open her own studio in the next few years. When I dance as an individual it makes me more nervous but yet more excited and I get more say in what the dances are about and the emotions I use. When I pick my dances I do make sure that what they are about is important to me so I can connect emotionally to them.”
