HUMANS OF BHS: Ella Miley, freshman

I started dancing at age 13 at the Baldwin Academy of Dance and Voice. I’d wanted to dance for a good portion of my life. I’d always been in choir, and when my choir joined with the dance academy, I got to watch a lot of dancing. The dancers all looked really amazing and it seemed like such a fun thing to do. I never did dance even though I really wished I could, because I thought I was too old. I didn’t want to be in a class with three year olds, but I needed to take beginner classes. It was pretty hard to catch up, but the studio let me take ballet two. I’m really grateful for all the dancers that inspired me to try dance and continue to inspire me.”
