HUMANS OF BHS: Riley Fletcher, junior

“There’s a lot of things I regret. I didn’t go out for any sports or activities as a freshman besides scholar’s bowl and that was only because my brother was doing it and it made me feel slightly less uncomfortable. I branched out a little more my sophomore year, but  I still let my anxiety hold me back. This year I started doing things not because I felt pressure, but because I wanted to. I’ve been really good about joining more activities and doing what makes me happy. Mainly, I just regret not bursting out of my awkward, anxious shell earlier. Of course I’m still both, but I’ve gotten better at covering up the anxious part.”
