Jaeden Landreth plays the lead in this year’s fall musical, Shrek. A senior at Baldwin High School, Landreth gives advice about joining theater.

 How long have you been interested in theater? 

“I’ve been involved in the musical for four years now.”

Q: Why did you join theater in the first place?

“I just got into it because mainly my friends were doing it, but now it’s sort of become its own thing.”

Q: What encouraged you to audition?

“I just thought that being in the musical sounded like a fun pastime to do.”

Q: What were auditions like?

“ They’re pretty nerve-wracking at first, but the songs are not that hard and the parts are also pretty easy.”

Q: What is your favorite part about being in the musical? 

“ Probably just being able to be a part of something that’s like, bigger than yourself. There’s a big group of people who are all working together for one goal.”
