In schools all over the country, every student is forced to take certain classes. These include mathematics, English, science and the infamous history class. Students study many types of history. World history, American history and everything inbetween are studied throughout the course of life.

Why should people know about history? To some, history is a boring subject and they would rather spend their time learning about something that interests them. History can sometimes be a boring subject, but it is important to be studied.

Many think learning about history is important because to prevent  our generation and generations after ours from repeating what happened in the past. Some believe that learning about history will make future generations better, as we will learn today about our mistakes in the past, and fix them for the future.

Even though learning about history can be boring at times, it is still important to think of what will happen if we do not learn about it.
