What is your favorite fast food restaurant?  There are many different fast food places in the United States.  According to food industry research firm Technomic, these are the top five fast food brands in America.

#5: Burger King

Burger King is ranked third for the top fast food burger restaurants in the nation.  There having trouble with there income though, last year alone they dropped 4%.  Even with the decrease in sales  still made 8.4 billion dollars.  One of the reason Burger King is so famous is because of there huge and delicious burger called the Whopper.

#4:Wendy’s

Wendy’s is now ranked second for the top fast food burger restaurants in the nation.  Wendy’s makes 8.5 billion dollars annually.  Wendy’s have been always known for their Frosty’s but now there starting to be recognized for their burgers.

#3:Starbucks

Starbucks is number three on the list and they are a coffee shop!  They made a 7.5% profit last year witch helped them get 9.75 billion dollars last year.  They closed over 300 locations last year and Starbucks income still keeps raising.  I guess some people realized they have to have their coffee.

#2:Subway

Subway has more locations then any other fast food place in the world.  They opened 872 new Subway locations alone last year and with 24,722 total restaurants.  Subway makes 11.4 billion dollars a year and the raised up there profits last year 7.5%.

#1:McDonald’s

McDonald’s unsurprisingly takes the prize for the biggest fast food chain across the U.S.  Sales increased by 5% last year and the company opened 71 new locations.  McDonald’s makes a total of 34.2 billion dollars a year.  McDonald’s also recently added a new CEO and it seems like he is doing a good job at adding more money to the already biggest fast food chain in the world.
