This May, the USD 348 district voted for a school bond and voted for a fund of $17M. The bond was approved and will be used to improve the CTE facilities and give the students more offerings for classes. The bond will add more classes, better updates, more educational buildings, and even a new parking lot. Prior to this 2024 update bond, another bond was voted for but didn’t pass. This bond was for better sporting fields and athletic updates.
“I look forward to the new parking lot the most in the bond. I think it’ll make traffic out and into the parking lot smoother and less stressful and crowded. I also think that there will be good changes that our school needs.” Freshman Aislinn Stout said.
BHS students were surveys to get their options on the future changes and effects, so the students filled out polls to get their thoughts on this. 65% of students said they support the bond issue, while 34% said they didn’t have an opinion. The students were also asked if they thought the bond was needed, and 78% said they agreed it was and the other 20% said they didn’t have an opinion.
