Homecoming week is here and the school is getting ready.
With homecoming week almost here and we have found our candidaits. The Queen candidates were: Adalyn Madl, Claire Baker and Saylor Currie. The King candidates are Isaac Tayler, Hank Beard and Gunar Reichard.
The week of homecoming is Sep. 29 through Oct. 4. On Oct. 2 there was a parade. Everyone who is involved is the musical, band, football, cheer and the class floats, seniors are Despicable Me, juniors are Up, sophomores are Cars and freshmen are Moana. Spirit week starts on the Sep. 29, on Monday was MonoChromatic, Tuesday was Rockstars vs. Rappers, Wednesday was Childhood Movies by class, Thursday was dynamic duo twin, Friday was denim day and Saturday is Homecoming so dress semi-formal dance.
“At first I was surprised and unsure what to think about being nominated,” Currie said, “but I soon fell in love with the community-wide involvement it promotes and the other candidates I get to experience it with.”
“I’m thankful to be nominated for homecoming king,” Reichard said. “because not many people get that experience and whether I win or lose I”ll make the best of it.”
“Being nominated for Homecoming King has been awesome,” Beard said, “I have always wanted to be a candidate since I was a little kid and now that I’m here it just feels so surreal.”
“When I heard my name announced, I felt both surprised and a bit stunned,” Madl said. “Being nominated by peers and teachers is an honor and I look forward to enjoying this experience with the other candidates.”
The winners of homecoming were Currie and Beard.
