Thrifting is quickly becoming more popular at BHS as a fun pastime for many students.
“I went to the bins and I found this cool Oakley jacket for like 50 cents, it was worth a lot,” senior Jaeden Landreth said.
With thrifting gaining more traction throughout the school some have found their favorite stores.
“I’ve gone to the bins, which is good, it’s fun to go,” junior Irelyn Kennedy said.
“I really like Plato’s Closet, and some shops on Mass Street, but Plato’s Closet is definitely my go to,” sophomore Jada Sansome said.
There are lots of students with good finds from their favorite thrift stores.
“I got these Doc Martens, they were brand new and I got them for $50,” Kennedy said.
“I found a Brazilian soccer jersey and it was really was a really good find,” Sansome said.
Thrifting can be difficult for some, but many have found tricks on how to find good things.
“Look really hard, you have to take the time and look through every single thing on the rack, or else you’re not gonna find something good,” Kennedy said.
“Just get it, it looks better in your home mirror than in the store,” Sansome said.
Thrifting on the rise at BHS means yet another hobby to diversify the school.
