If a student wants to help the environment but doesn’t know where to start, joining Environmental Club is the perfect next step.
According to President Adalyn Madl, there are many reasons to join Environmental Club.
“People should join Environmental Club to learn about our planet’s well-being and how to help it, including learning the many benefits of recycling, to help keep our planet cleaner and reduce waste,” she said. To sign up, students can reach out to a member and get added to GroupMe. That is the app the club uses to communicate.
According to Saylor Currie, vice president, the club helps the environment in ways such as reducing waste, cleaning up the school and community, and teaching other students about the environment and how to help it.
Currie explained the many activities in Environmental Club.
“Environmental Club helps the environment by keeping our school clean, reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills, and informing students about the ways they can reuse or recycle everyday things to support the environment in which they live,” she said.
Currie believes students should join Environmental Club because of its many benefits.
“I believe students should participate in Environmental Club, because it is a great way to connect with other students and teachers at BHS, while simultaneously getting involved in school activities and actively working to create a better environment,” she said.
