Shop teacher Thomas Harman is “un-retiring” as the BHS shop teacher.
“I decided to come back to teach another year because it is hard to find another shop teacher and I did not want to leave Baldwin without shop class,” Harman said.
Most of the students are thrilled to have Harman back as the shop teacher and hope he stays for a while.
“Harman was a great teacher and no matter how stupid of a question you ask he never made you feel stupid and explained it perfectly,” freshman Maddox Madl said.
Shop is a very important class to have because it teaches students so many skills such as woodworking and welding.
“My mom works in that line of work and I think it would be great to learn it also,” freshman Alex Chambers said.
Shop helps you in so many ways and even just being able to do things so you do not need to hire someone and save money.
“I have always wanted to learn more about welding and how to do it and this is a great experience to learn it,” Madl said.
Harman teaches shop and cabinet making.
