Biology teacher Renae Linke talks about receiving a grant for lab simulations.

“I received the BEF grant,” Linke said.

Many teachers had the option to apply for grants using the Baldwin Education Foundation if they were seeking more educational supplies.

“I applied for the grant to be able to access online virtual lab simulations for students,” Linke said.

Linke plans to use virtual simulations for lab projects.

“I plan to utilize those simulations in place of labs we can’t afford or don’t have the supplies to do,” Linke said.

Linke thinks that this grant will improve her classroom in many ways.

“The grant will improve my classroom by allowing students to make up assignments, making labs easier and more learning to occur from home,” Linke said.

Linke plans to make this year of Biology fun and full of information.

“I like that teachers have the option to apply for grants, it’s really nice,” Linke said.

Linke really enjoys the fact that Baldwin has the option for teachers to apply for grants.
