BHS choirs showcase their talents with new teacher
In past years, BHS choirs have been known for their fantastic original performances, and are working hard towards achieving the same standards this years. However, with the a new musical instructor, the choirs have been working on adjusting to new ways of singing and learning music.
“I think the choirs have worked really hard and they sound beautiful, I’m very excited,” Vocal Music Director Erin Buffum said. “Everything is going very well, the students and I are getting to know each other and they are sounding very strong.”
BHS has always had a large choir, with a variety of students and this year is no different.
“I like choir because it’s fun having a relaxing class with people of the same interests as you,” sophomore Cheyanne Daniels said.
“I love making music with such great people and we sound really good when we are focused.” senior and section leader Megann Lawrenz said. “I really think we are ready for this concert, and I’m excited to show our hard work has payed off.”
Men’s and Women’s choir will also be performing in the concert, and have made great progress this year as well.
“I think choir is very fun and a great experience,” freshman Charlee Hercules said.
“Men’s choir is definitely ready for the concert,” junior Dominic Sanders said “We have a lot of really talented singers and we work really well together.”
Needless to say there are great expectations for the upcoming choir concerts, which BHS students plan to fulfill. The concert will be at 7 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the Performing Arts Center.
