Upcoming production of “Harvey” hoping to entertain crowd
Harvey is the BHS 2015 school year spring play.
English Teacher David Stephens is the director of the play, along with being a teacher at BHS.
Students have already auditioned and have started practice.
Junior Daniel Vakser is playing Elwood. Freshman Emily Linder, junior Spencer Young, senior Maverick Feldt, sophomore Katherine Smrha and freshman Morgan Rhodes all have prominent roles.
“It’s coming along all right, but there is still plenty of work to do,” Stephens said.
The cast has been putting in their time and practicing.
“We’ve been practicing Monday through Thursday from 4-6 mostly in the PAC. Our practices will likely expand to 4-7 next week when we begin running through the entire play each day. We are planning on going off script next week as well.” Stephens said.
The cast is small but is working together and warming up to each other and their character roles.
“Katherine Smrha-Monroe has been doing an excellent job as the bonding facilitator. She has really been getting the cast to open up to each other,” Stephens said.
The show dates are April 10 and 11 in the PAC. Ticket prices are $5 for students, $7 for adults.
