While the hit movie “Frozen” is playing in theaters, the state of Kansas is living out its own version of the Disney movie, in a way.
While Kansas is not in deep snow and covered in ice, freezing temperatures plague the state in almost all areas.
Usually in January, temperatures are freezing, and January and February are the coldest months of the winter season.
But what makes this January unique is that a cold front from Canada has made its way into the US, causing the weather to be as chilly and windy as it has been.
It also appears that later tonight, there will be a chance of snow and freezing rain, making things much more difficult for citizens of Kansas.
The forecast for February does not look too warm either. According to The Weather Channel, temperatures will continue to be in the 30s and 40s.
However, Mother Nature does tend to change her mind quite often, and as a result, the weather changes. So February’s forecast is only tentative.
Hopefully the cold weather will not continue to plague students here at Baldwin High School for much longer. But we can only hope for the best.
But to most Kansans, the cold never bothered them anyway.
