It may seem strange to walk down the halls and see bald heads and short beards. But at BHS it is all for a good cause. Students are making use of “No Shave November.” During the month of November, students and teachers are “letting it grow” for a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital fundraiser.
The sponsor of the fundraiser, History teacher Jason Crowder. Crowder has also shaved his head and facial hair for the event.
“Our purpose is to have fun and also raise awareness for cancer,” Crowder said. “A lot of kids do No shave November, this is just a way we can get involved and help out.”
Participants will be charged fines shaving and rewards will be given.
“We have a $5 fine for shaving and at the end of the month we will have awards that have a donation to vote for,” Crowder said.
