“I have been fostering for Unleashed Pet Rescue. I made a slideshow presentation for my family entailing facts and reasons why we should foster. Once I got my parent’s support, I signed a foster application with my mom for Unleashed Dogs. There were requirements to foster the pups. We had to keep a leash on them to ensure that they didn’t get lost while in Unleashed’s  custody. We had to bring them to Unleashed for checkups, vaccines, surgeries, and adoptions. We also were required to give them endless love. [Fostering] is awesome. I will definitely be fostering dogs as much as I can in my life. It was an amazing experience. The best part about fostering is seeing the amazing progress these creatures make because of our help. From the first day that you pick them up when they are scared, confused, and happy to be loved by someone, to the day you drop them off with their adopter and they are comfortable, excited, and ready for a better life. If you want to foster for Unleashed and you are under 18 years old, first make sure your parents are supportive of the idea. Unleashed Pet Rescue is one of the only rescues in Kansas that is still taking in transports of animals so we have a lot of dogs that need fosters! If you want to be a foster parent, go to the Unleashed Pet Rescue website and fill out a foster application. They will get back to you as soon as they can and then you will be set.”
