As the 2024-25 school year is winding down, it is the final stretch for the Senior Class of ’25. Seniors are reminiscing of their time here, and looking ahead for what’s next. Olivia Ware is a featured member of the senior class, preparing for her future.
What is your senior year like?
“My senior year has been very fun, and pretty relaxing considering I have all my credits to graduate, so I am taking several arts electives.”
What’s your favorite part about high school? Why?
“My favorite part about high school is that there is a niche place for everyone to fit in, I have found my place in the performing arts.”
What would you tell incoming freshmen?
“My advice to incoming freshmen is to understand that you won’t see 90% of these people again after graduation, so don’t waste your time on petty drama and fake friends. It is normal for not everyone to like or be nice to you, so just focus on yourself.”
Who is your favorite teacher? Why?
“My favorite teacher is Mr. Stephens. After taking two of my four English credits with him and participating in the spring play and debate for 3 years, he and I have formed a special connection that many students don’t get to have. He has given me the space to truly be myself, whether writing about my experiences or just to talk metal bands.”
What’s your favorite part about being a senior?
“My favorite part about being a Senior is the teachers being much more willing to give you more freedom and have mature conversations with you.”
What has been your favorite class? Why?
“My favorite class has been AP Lit. It is my favorite because of the wide array of literature we read and analyze. It is so amazing to see how even the stories in Greek plays are timeless due to human nature never truly changing throughout time.”
