Asking students what their favorite thing about prom is and what has been their favorite past favorite prom memory. 

“My favorite thing is after prom, and dressing up and taking pictures,” senior Ebi Gerrard said. “Past prom memories are listening to music and making jokes and laughing. Just being all together.” 

Many students love being with the people they enjoy the most.

“Dancing and getting ready with my best friends is my favorite thing about prom, my favorite past memory is the prom walk and seeing all the pretty dresses everyone is wearing,” senior Emily Howarter said. 

Prom this year is being held at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence at 8-11 p.m. With it being held at this place for as long as principle Brittingham can remember. 

“I love hanging out with my friends during prom and​ the music has been great every year,” junior Kasey Hamrick said. 

Students love when the DJ plays music, and everyone just gets in a circle and dances the night away. 

“I like the DJ because he plays whatever music and everyone gets together to dance,” senior Olivia Callihan said.“My favorite memory is when everyone got in a circle and some kid did a backflip, and it was really cool.” 

Prom has been an activity since the 1800s. With prom being held at Baldwin for many years, the latest it can be remembered is in 1995.

The average students said their favorite prom memory was getting ready and hanging out with their friends. As well as the music at prom is really good. 

With this activity continuing throughout BHS and students continuing enjoying it. Prom welcomes everyone from juniors to seniors to come have a fun time.
