Tyler Wolf is a teacher at BHS he does Business Essentials, Graphic Design, Computer Programming, and Multimedia and he does this competition. He also does Cyber Sec and he does Graphic Design Fun.
Q: How do kids get ready for this competition?
“To prepare for the competition, students review sample questions provided by the organizers and practice with problems from a database of questions used in previous years. This allows them to familiarize themselves with the types of challenges they’ll encounter and to build problem-solving strategies ahead of time.”
Q: How many sign up for this competition?
“Participation isn’t huge, as I personally selected the team this year, focusing on those with the skills and interest necessary to do well in this kind of high-stakes environment.”
Q: Why do you do these competitions?
“These competitions offer students a unique platform to showcase their technical skills on a statewide level. Beyond the immediate recognition, the experience also serves as a valuable stepping stone; students have the chance to get noticed by top engineering programs in the state, potentially opening doors for their future academic and professional careers.”
Q: What is your favorite memory from these competitions?
“One of my favorite memories is from when Shelby Jones competed solo in the advanced division and placed 6th. Usually, teams consist of up to four individuals, but Shelby held her own in a challenging field, which made her achievement all the more impressive.”
Q: How many years have you done this competition?
“This is my third year with the competition. I attended twice before the pandemic, and this year marks our return after a pause due to COVID-19.”

“We haven’t yet won a competition. This event is like the state championship for programming, where the best coders from across the state go head-to-head for the title.”
