Senior Assassin has been a tradition at Baldwin High School for many years. For the past few years the senior class gets assigned a person and they have to get them out within a certain amount of time. Seniors get out by getting sprayed with a water gun. All the students put money on the line for the winner.
“My favorite part about senior assassin is being sneaky,” Lauren Berg said. “I also like helping people get their people out.”
Many students enjoy this game because it brings the whole class together. Some people help their friends and others talk to someone who they may not talk to on the regular basis just to get their person out.
“I enjoyed the idea of partaking in Senior Assassin, but once I got my target I knew it was harder than I thought it would be,” Kiley Montney said. “My target had a really good strategy, he wore his goggles anytime I could have possibly saw him. I even went as far as going to his house, but that was a fail. Unfortunately, I did not get my target out by the deadline so I ended up getting out. But it was fun while it lasted.”
Senior Assassin is organized by a student in the senior class. They are incharge of running the account on Instagram and picking their classmates targets. The student who runs it all is Raelyn Wilkerson
“The hardest part about senior assassin is trying to get everybody to get cash because so many people ask to Venmo , but keeping track of Venmo transactions is so much harder than carrying around cash,” Wilkerson said. “Another thing is getting people to follow the rules and not being mean to each other.”
Senior Assassin lasts all year long. There are many different ways to get out. Along with many different rounds. Each round lasts for about a week but some rounds are longer than others.
