“My dad rodeod when he was younger so I had heard about it. Since I was little I had just 4always wanted a horse. Once we moved to the country we got one and my dad stayed preaching at this youth rodeos association and then he just started entering me. When I was at my first tinals rodeo me and my best friend Madison were doing an event called dummy roping. Dummy roping is an event for 3-6 year olds. There’s a hay bale with a fake plastic calf head and the kids stand behind it and rope it. And there’s rounds in so if you both catch from like this distance we made it back 12 feet which is really far for the dummy roping. The judges wound’t let us go back any further because our ropes wouldn’t reach and we went 15 rounds and the crowd was going wild the whole time. My mom said she never knew dummy roping could be such an exciting event. Everybody was so excited after ever catch and then Madison my best friend missed and I caught and I won the average for the weekend and the buckle ( my first ever buckle) My best accomplishment is either when I was in the junior high state champion goat tyer my 8th grade year or i was number 6th goat tyer in this world 2022.”
