“It’s always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid to derby. I have been going to derbies since I was 4 years old but I started running cars my sophomore year. Normally when I run I have some buddies out on the track with me. We have each other’s backs but when there are a lot of cars you have to run smart and keep your head on a swivel. I tend to drive smart until the final 6 cars then I like to put on a show. It differs from year to year but on average I normally run 5-6 times per season. Most people don’t know how much time and money it takes to derby. It’s a lot of work and pretty dang expensive.”
