“I chose  the bassoon because Cooper wanted more diversity in the band and we hadn’t had a bassoon for a while. I also wanted something that no one else played and it would be a challenge. I love bassoon because each piece you play is a different challenge. It is exciting because it is such a unique sound and there are so different parts you get to play. You can play melody, counter melody, bass line, and solos. Being able to play an instrument that no one else does is super exciting and challenging.”
