A new school year has started at BHS, and that means Harry Potter Club is starting back up again. Many new students wonder exactly what Harry Potter Club is.
According to senior head girl Allison Waymire, it encourages reading, fun, and imagination.
“Harry Potter Club is a club that encourages imagination and fun, along with reading,” Waymire said.
The club also has changes coming this school year.
“Changes for this year are competing in Qudditch, and hosting a book drive,” Waymire said.
In its two and a half years of existence, Harry Potter Club has many things that students enjoy. When asked what they enjoyed most, many current members enjoy different things.
Junior Chelsey Curtis, for example, enjoys meeting new people.
“It is fun to meet other students with the same interests,” Curtis said.
Junior Kymbr Simmons enjoys talking about Harry Potter in the club.
“It’s fun and we get to talk about Harry Potter,” Simmons said.
All the new changes this year are quite exciting for current Harry Potter Club members.
“I am most excited that we are going to compete against other schools in Quidditch,” Simmons said.
