The BHS administration gave the opportunity for the BHS students to opt out of their midterm finals. This is the first year that they are allowing students to opt out of their finals.

Two of the 14 BHS students who were interviewed are not opting out of finals.

Many kids have worked hard so that they did not lose the opportunity to opt out of the finals and so that they could have an easier day.

The BHS students believe that when given the chance to opt out of their finals that it motivates

When you opt out of your finals you can leave the school as long as you have a parent sign you can leave and come back or if they are down with their finals that day they can leave for the day.

14 of the BHS 9th graders said that they support the opt out of the finals decision.

This taught them to do better in class. And 14 of the BHS 9th graders said that they thought the finals benefitted the students of BHS.
