Every day students head down to the cafeteria for lunch and only have two options. Option one students can purchase a school lunch made by the lunch ladies. Option two students can bring their lunch from home. Students are not allowed to leave school grounds during lunch. A lunch period lasts for 25 minutes which does not leave a lot of time for students to go off campus to find food. Students are also not allowed to order food from delivery services such as Doordash or GrubHub. This is why Baldwin High School needs to partner with a local fast food restaurant to bring a third option to students.
Thirty individuals were surveyed, including both teachers and students, to see which local fast food restaurant they would like to see come to Baldwin High School to offer another lunch option. The choices were Sonic, Subway, Taco Bell, and Burger King. All of these restaurants are in close proximity to the high school and are viable options for a partnership.
The results of the survey are below. Eight individuals selected Sonic, fifteen wanted Subway, two chose Taco Bell, and five thought Burger King would be the best option. The clear winner for what both students and staff would like to see at lunch is a sandwich option from Subway.
