I’ve always thought of Taylor Swift as a country singer, and I hate country music. So I was not fond of her music initially and did not listen to it until now. Her new album is retro and more in the pop genre, which makes me think that she is conforming to what the public wants.

However, I don’t know what her intentions are, so she can do whatever she wants for all I care. I thought the new songs were catchy and I didn’t mind listening to them, but they would not be my first choice in music. I do not care about celebrities.

Her new album 1989 was released on October 27, 2014, the fifth to date through Big Machine Records.

“Her new album is kinda catchy and fun to listen to,” John Matthews said.

“I don’t like it because I think she tries too hard,” Maddy Stacey said.

“I don’t really like it because its the same thing about the same subject. She goes through dudes like candy,” Ally James said.
